Ria joined The Food Foundation in March 2023 as a Senior Research and Evidence Officer working on our dietary inequalities and fiscal measures project. Prior to this, she worked as a senior public health intelligence analyst at Medway Council, NHS England and was a research assistant at Institute for Global Health, University College London. She holds a BSc in Microbiology from the University of Calcutta and an MSc in Environmental Science from the University of Ottawa, Canada. Ria also has an MSc in Global Public Health Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco Institute for Global Health Sciences.
