Groundbreaking citizen-led report on fairer food system launched
A groundbreaking citizen-led report setting out how to create a fairer food system has been launched.
The What Works Here Inquiry features the results of an investigation that included visits to local food projects in Cornwall.
It aimed to highlight the learning opportunities and challenges in the region in ensuring how everyone can access healthy, sustainable food.
The findings will feed into the development of Defra’s new Food Strategy, offering new insights into how national government can help regional food systems thrive – and what they can learn from work already happening to transform food.
The inquiry was co-designed by the Food Strategy Citizen Advisory Council (CAC) with the support of Sustainable Food Cornwall.
- A series of other citizen-led reports will appear on this page in the coming weeks.
