Every child deserves a Healthy Start in life

Ahead of the Autumn Budget, we're calling on the Government to expand the Healthy Start scheme to all pregnant women and children under five in families receiving Universal Credit.

This simple change would help more families afford nutritious food and give every child the healthy start in life they deserve.

The campaign has gathered substantial support including from global family expert and star of the Supernanny show Jo Frost, actor Dame Emma Thompson, chef and food campaigner Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and more than 100 organisations, including charities, academics, health and education bodies, businesses, local authorities and other experts.

This breadth of support demonstrates just how important Healthy Start is and why the Government must act now to expand the scheme so that no eligible family misses out.
