Free school meals in Yorkshire and the Humber

Child poverty rates in the UK are at a record high and are set to increase further without government intervention.

This briefing, by Child Poverty Action Group and The Food Foundation, highlights the number of children in poverty in missing out on Free School Meals in Yorkshire and the Humber.

It finds 70,000 children living in poverty in Yorkshire and Humber do not have access to this vital nutritional safety net - and in every local authority across the region has at least 1,000 children in poverty currently miss out, rising to as many as 14,000 in Bradford.
