Podcast: Bigger than a crisis: Why is our health a postcode lottery?

1 in 3 children in the UK are living in poverty. 1 in 4 children have dental decay and 1 in 5 children in year 6 are living with obesity.
These rates are significantly higher in deprived areas.
This is bigger than a crisis.
On our latest feature podcast episode Hannah Brinsden, Head of Policy and Advocacy at the Food Foundation is joined by Food Foundation Ambassador and mother of two young children from Hartlepool, Barbara Achingale, as well as Vic Harper, CEO of The Bread and Butter Thing, and Amanda Bailey, Director of the North East Child Poverty Commission.
The panel explores the factors in the North East which make strong links to deprivation.
Explore the data using our new dashboard which estimates the prevalence of diet-related disease by constituency, drawing on local authority data.
