Pod Bites: Food Insecurity Update
Our Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer Shona Goudie explains the latest food insecurity data and this week's food inflation figures.
An online survey of nearly 11,000 adults commissioned by The Food Foundation found 17% of households experienced food insecurity in June, affecting an estimated nine million adults and four million children.
Shona unpacks the complex reasons for this from the war in Ukraine to Brexit in a fascinating exploration of the impact of the current food system on health and mental well being among the most vulnerable people in Britain.
