COP28: Can investors help fix the food system?
06:00 - 06:45
We held an event highlighting the crucial role of investors can play in the food system at COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.
Sarah Buszard, our Responsible Investor Engagement Lead, led a panel discussion exploring why investors are interested in creating a healthy, sustainable and affordable food system on December 3, on the Climate Change Conference's Health Day.
It examined why there is the need for greater transparency, better global standard setting and consistent, accurate data in the food system, and what investors need from policymakers to help the shift towards healthier and more sustainable food environments.
Speakers included Nicola Day, Deputy Head of Greenbank, Lauren Compere, Managing Director and Head of Stewardship and Engagement at Boston Common Asset Management and John Willis, Director of Research, Planet Tracker.
The session took place in the Food4Climate pavilion within the Blue Zone, set up by ProVeg International.
