Leadership by Young People

About the project
Our project will bring together youth leaders, activists, and campaigners from around the world to co-create a list of ‘Actions 4 Change’. The actions will be used at key international events to campaign for food systems transformation and influence decision-making bodies around the world. We will share resources, best practice and lessons learnt from youth-led advocacy work and facilitate connections to enable young people from different countries to use their Actions 4 Change to take meaningful local action. We will leverage opportunities created by the forthcoming international events to take young people and their Actions 4 Change to the events and demand political and action changes in business practice.

We are not doing this alone, but in collaboration with a number of international youth organisations. These include WWF, SUN Movement, Action Against Hunger, World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, World Food Forum, Real Food Systems, SOS-UK and i4Nature.

The Actions 4 Change will be the tangible asks and practical tools that sit alongside the Global Youth Pledge which is being facilitated by our partners Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).

The ‘Global Youth Pledge’ is a declaration of commitment to defeat hunger, improve health and heal the planet. The pledge brings together young people from around the world to focus on their personal action as a contribution to system change. The pledge urges governments, businesses, UN agencies and youth counterparts to act boldly and promptly.
