Guys and St Thomas’s Healthy Returns Round Table
A roundtable was held on November 22nd 2018, 9:30am to 11:30am at the Sustainable Workspace, to share the insight from ‘Healthy Returns’. The new report, which was been commissioned to look at the opportunities for market-based solutions to childhood obesity, was produced by the Food Foundation, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Joseph Gridley.
‘Healthy Returns’ uses new analysis to understand the purchasing habits of lower-income families and draw on examples from the UK and abroad to explore the opportunities and challenges for innovative challenger brands in providing access to nutritious, affordable food and in tackling child obesity.
At the roundtable we looked to build on this work and the insights of participants to consider the roles of corporate, advisors, investors, foundations and philanthropists in supporting the development and scaling of market-based solutions and challenger brands that help tackle child obesity.
