Despite the well-established ‘five a day’ message, consumption of fruit and vegetables remains low, with more and more calories coming from processed foods high in fat, sugar and salt, and low in fibre. From farmers to retailers, public health professionals to restaurants – how can industry make it easier to eat more vegetables? What lessons have been learned from initiatives to date, and how much further do we need to go to reach the desired healthy levels of consumption?
